Our team at Paper and Home is so excited to share with you folks, Miranda and Apollo’s bilingual destination wedding invitations! How could you not accept such a beautiful invite enticing you to the shores of Thailand?

For Miranda and Apollo, we created invitations inspired by a passport design, kissed with a vintage essence. The couple expressed that the wedding was to be a small intimate gathering in Koh Samui, Thailand. Because the wedding was going to be out of the country, Miranda and Apollo wanted the invitation to be bilingual. The couple wanted the invitation to cater to all of their friends and family, whether familiar with their native culture or not. There’s nothing more welcoming than an invitation written in a language indigenous to home.

 Bilingual Destination Wedding Invitations

Our team designed couture invitations with deep rich colors inspired by Thailand’s kaleidoscopic hued culture. Gold vintage embellishments on the card enrich the couple’s color palette. On the cover of the invitation is the national emblem of Thailand, known as the Garuda. The mythical creature had been used as a symbol of royalty in Thailand for centuries. The Garuda is depicted on seals, which are used by the King of Thailand and the Government of Thailand to authenticate official documents and as its primary emblem [via Wikipedia].

We paid very close attention to detail because we wanted to latch onto the look of a real passport. On these bilingual destination wedding invitations, simple elements such as the rounded corners are present. The paper choices of a natural matte stock enclosed in a kraft envelope add to that vintage vibe. For all of the details, you’ll have to come see us or request some samples!

Though we weren’t present at the wedding, the photos took us there. I can’t help but to feel like that little child daydreaming over fairytale books looking at these photographs. The vibrant display of colors left us speechless. We are so happy to have been able to contribute with these bilingual destination wedding invitations. Congratulations Miranda and Apollo! Thank you for sharing these photos with us!
