We start all our projects with a phone consultation so we can learn as much as we can about your creative needs and personal style. It’s important to us that your designs are a reflection of you! Phone consultations are complimentary and by appointment.
After your phone consultation, Paper and Home provides you with a detailed estimate based on the design options discussed. Pricing will vary for couture pieces.
Once you’ve had a chance to review your estimate and are ready to move forward, we meet in person so you can see samples of our previous work that align with your vision. This is your opportunity to mix and match swatches, feel the different weights of stock, and finalize the enhancements you would like featured with your pieces. If you’re wanting to move into proofing a bit faster, we can always send you photos of swatch options instead!
Design Agreement and Deposit
Once you’re ready to move forward with your order, a signed copy of the design agreement and submission of a 50% design retainer is all that is needed to start work on your project. Once the paperwork is out of the way, you’ll receive wording samples, if applicable.
Proofs, Printing, and Turnaround Time
Proofing time varies depending on the intricacy of your design and speed of your feedback. Once you’ve approved your final proof, a 40% payment is made and your files are immediately sent to print. Production time will vary depending on your order. The print process generally requires 10 business days from the time of final proof approval, but will increase with specialty print applications. Paper and Home will provide you with a tailored production window upon your approval of proofs. Rush production options are available upon request, please let us know prior to giving your approval to print.
Once your order has been produced, Paper and Home inspects each piece to check for errors and completes additional assembly if needed. We then notify you that your order is ready! Your final balance is due prior to delivery. After receiving your pieces, you will complete the final step in the process of purchasing postage and mailing out your stationery. Paper and Home does offer full assembly and mailing services at an additional charge, please inquire for more details.
